We understand that having a website designed or redesigned can be daunting so we have answered a few of the more common questions below.
Where do I start?
We think the best place to start is on our website.
- Take a look through the Website packages and decide what would suit you or your business best.
- Then go through the Website extras page to see whether you need any modules such as a Photo-gallery or Blog or more designed pages and email accounts.
- All you need to do now is visit the Buy now page, click the My Website Details button and send us the details for your new website. When it's arrived we'll be in touch to check things over, organise a deposit and make a start.
It's as simple as that!
Who can I trust?
Good question and one you should ask!
We've been in the UK design business for 15 years so we're not a fly-by-night set-up, someone working from their bedroom or an anonymous company in a far off land!
We have clients that have been with us for nearly 10 years and we like to think it's because of our attention to detail and the fact that we listen to them. More importantly though, we'll be here for you when you need us.
Will I be able to speak to someone when I need to?
Yes you will.
We're in the UK and you can contact us anytime by phone or email during normal business hours.
What will my website cost?
We believe in fair and honest pricing which is why we publish all our prices on this website. There are no hidden extras so you can work out exactly what your costs will be before you start.
After the first free 12 months of hosting your website with Zuuko your hosting costs will be £99.00+vat for the next 12 months.
The .co.uk domain name is free as long as you commission and keep hosting your website with Zuuko.
If you do not commission a website from Zuuko a .co.uk domain name costs £15.00+vat per 12 months.
If you register other domain name suffixes via Zuuko such as .com/.info etc, they will cost £20.00+vat per 12 months.
Hosting and domain name charges are not invoiced by Zuuko. Please enquire if you would like more information.
I'm not VAT rated, are you?
No we're not and Zuuko only works for non VAT rated businesses and individuals.
Will I save money by using Zuuko?
Yes you can.
Apart from our already low prices, if you're not VAT rated, you can save money (17.5%) by using Zuuko for your design services as opposed to using a design company that is VAT rated. It all adds up and we can help you save £££!
Glossary
Here are some explanations of words and terms we use throughout our zuuko.co.uk website.
- CMS (Content Management System)
Used to create, edit, manage and publish content on your website with little or no computer programming knowledge. This website uses a CMS and is very easy to use! - Email contact form
A simple form on your website that visitors can use to contact you by email. - Domain name
Commonly known as your website name e.g. zuuko.co.uk - Email address
Your email address identifies a location to which email messages can be delivered. Used by you so that other people can contact you by email. - Hosting
Our hosting service allows you to provide your website on the World Wide Web. It includes your email and web-mail services. - Visitor statistics
Information about how people find your website and how they interact with it, i.e the number of people visiting and the pages they look at. - Web-mail
Facility that enables you to see and send email from any computer in the world connected to the internet, e.g. from a library or internet cafe. - Website
A collection of web pages which may include images, videos and text which are then made accessible via the World Wide Web.
